The Cooper River Bridge Run weekend is once again upon us in Charleston, and that means that our local economy is about to get a direct infusion of $20+ million according to studies from years past. Many areas of the Lowcountry are affected by the increase in tourists, and restaurants from high end to fast food are historically extremely busy. A 2011 impact study shows that Charleston area restaurants generate over $10 million in revenue during the weekend of this annual event.
