FRS Asheville Sponsors Inaugural Hendersonville Restaurant Week

Hendersonville, NC, recently enjoyed their first “Restaurant Week” from Thursday, March 15 through Saturday, March 24; and FRS Asheville had the pleasure of sponsoring the inaugural event. Hendersonville Restaurant Week is produced by Carolina Epicurean and gives visitors and locals the opportunity to discover the diverse dining scene throughout the week at participating restaurants in Hendersonville and Flat Rock.

The FRS Asheville staff worked closely with event organizer, Laura Huff, on how best to support not only the event, but all participating restaurants. FRS personally delivered and gifted all dozen participating restaurants with a "swag bag" packed with valuable items typically used by chefs along with a gift card to the Asheville store (total value was about $100). In addition, a countertop induction range valued at about $400 was donated as a prize for one randomly drawn restaurant, and the lucky winner of the prize was Flat Rock Wood Room! FRS representatives Sheila Bivins and Laura Oliver along with Huff met at the restaurant to surprise and formally present the induction range to Chef/Owner Jaimie Guay and his crew.

The FRS Asheville staff enjoyed interacting with participating restaurants during the delivery of the swag bags and induction range as seen below. Click the images to enlarge them.

Hendersonville Restaurant Week was a wonderful multi-course dining experience featuring prix fixe menus priced at $10 or $15 for lunch and bunch, and $20, $30, or $35 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity). Participating restaurants included:

  • Black Rose Pub
  • Bold Rock Mills River
  • Brooks Tavern
  • Hannah Flanagan’s
  • Flat Rock Wood Room
  • Mezzaluna
  • Never Blue
  • Old Orchard Tavern
  • Postero
  • Season’s at Highland Lake
  • The Dugout Taproom & Grill
  • The Esmeralda Inn & Restaurant

FRS Asheville looks forward to supporting Hendersonville Restaurant Week again next year and really appreciates the coverage of this year’s sponsorship in a recent Carolina Epicurean article.
